Use Policy

Introduction and concepts

At noion OÜ ("noion"), we prioritize compliance with the law and the safety of our customers. Our mission is to assist entrepreneurs and global startups in starting, running, and expanding successful businesses while maintaining security and compliance. To achieve this goal, we have established an Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP"), which outlines the criteria we use to determine which companies and businesses we can accept as customers. We strive to be transparent about the business activities that noion supports, but please note that this information is not exhaustive and that we reserve the right to reject a customer for reasons not outlined in this document.


While we do not question certain business activities, we may be unable to accommodate them at this time. Please note that this list, as well as the entire document, is subject to change.

Business activities that are prohibited

It is prohibited to use the noion service for activities that:

  •  Violating any law, statute, ordinance, or regulation.
  • Breaching applicable laws related to personal information of third parties.
  • Violating laws or regulations that pertain to the sale of alcoholic drinks, smoking products, tobacco products, or prescription drugs and devices.
  • Infringing copyright, trademark, right of publicity or privacy, or any other proprietary right under the laws of the account owner's jurisdiction.
  • Acting on behalf of a legal entity that is not based within the EEA.
  • Engaging in any illegal products, services, or activities, including encouraging, promoting, facilitating, or instructing others to do so.
  • Doing business with any sanctioned countries, or with persons who are subject to international/national sanctions, suspected or convicted of terrorism, financial crime, or any other offense.
  • Providing false information about the customer's identity or business activities.
  • Promoting scams, pyramid schemes, or Ponzi schemes.
  • Engaging in any product, service, or activity that finances terrorism.

Please note that this list is not exhaustive, and noion may reject a customer for reasons not contained in this document.


Business activities that may be rejected

The following activities may result in rejection:

  • Online sale of pharmaceuticals, healthcare, weight loss products, and nutraceuticals
  • Religious groups and charitable organizations
  • Debt collection services, with or without a license
  • Accounting and bookkeeping services
  • Political parties and affiliations
  • Real estate services
  • Sale of narcotics, steroids, controlled substances, or other products that pose a risk to consumer safety, including THC and drug paraphernalia-related activities
  • Art dealing
  • Products, services, or activities, including media and journalism, that are discriminatory, hateful, racist, exploitative, inciting harassment, bestiality, mutilation, or violence
  • Items, services, or activities that are of a sexual or adult nature
  • Sale of live animals or endangered animal species
  • Collection of money on behalf of others as a payment services provider, cheque encashment agencies, bureaux de change, money transmitters, remittance agencies, traveler’s cheques, or money orders
  • Sale of ammunition, explosives, arms, defense or weapons, replica weapons, gun parts or related parts or accessories, hunting, or manufacturing/distribution of weapons
  • Collection of money without a license when required by law
  • Multi-level marketing programs, network sales or affiliate marketing, matrix programs, outbound, and inbound telemarketing, or other similar programs including pyramid and Ponzi schemes
  • Factoring, lending, investment services, financial, escrow or mortgage services, pawn shops
  • Sale of jewels, precious metals and stones, wholesale of scrap metal, unregistered waste management business
  • Sale of tickets without a license, ticket resale
  • Sale of prepaid phone cards
  • Sale of replica clothes and products, or counterfeit goods
  • Objectionable, offensive, indecent, harassing, threatening, embarrassing, distressing, vulgar, hateful, racially, ethnically, or sexually offensive, or otherwise inappropriate behavior towards the company, its customers, or its employees.
  • Surrogacy, and any other pregnancy or fertility-related services/activities
  • Products, services, or activities relating to astrology, fortune-telling, or palm reading
  • High-risk politically exposed persons (PEP)

Violations and Enforcement of the Acceptable Use Policy

When using noion's services, you agree to the following terms:

  • Comply with the noion Privacy Policy and AUP.
  • Promptly inform noion of any changes to your business activity.
  • Take full responsibility for complying with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Not use the noion service for transactions that may be considered illegal in Estonia.
  • Understand that noion reserves the right to update the list of prohibited activities at any time.
  • Acknowledge that noion may suspend or terminate your access to the service if there are reasonable grounds to suspect fraudulent or violating activities, without prior notice.

Other violations of our acceptable use policy

 Engaging in any of the following actions is prohibited when using noion services:

  • Contacting any of our employees outside our official communication channels, such as user support tickets and regulatory consulting sessions.
  • Requesting services independently of noion from any of our employees.
  • Requesting information from our employees about confidential information of noion, including tools, procedures, or confidential information of the company, its employees, or its customers.
  • Misusing, illegally using, or engaging in ethically questionable use of our services.
  • Defaming, insulting, or publicly undermining the image of noion or any of its directors, members, employees, or shareholders.
